🔬 DMS Gifted & Honors Space Academy - Science🔬
Our Space Academy students put science into action as they explored cellular respiration through a hands-on yeast lab!
Using yeast, sugar, water, and balloons, students investigated how temperature affects living cells. They observed that warm water produced the most carbon dioxide, causing the balloons to inflate the fastest, while room temperature and cold water slowed or nearly stopped the reaction.

This engaging experiment gave students a firsthand look at how environmental conditions impact cellular function and energy production. Great work, scientists! 🚀💙
